Web Dojo Nov. 12th – Hands on Git lab
Join us on November 12th at 6:00 for our next Web Dojo. We’ll explore the intricacies of Git with our resident guru Matt Nuzum. Topics to be covered:
- Intro to GIT and *distributed* version control
- Local setup
- Getting the code (cloning)
- Pushing code
- Merging and pull requests
If time permits:
- Conflict resolution
- Branching
- Gitflow
UPDATE: We have media files:
- Here is the presentation
- A Youtube recording (1:17) [standard def available too]
Let’s meet again at Goodsmith’s in Valley Junction (remember, plenty of parking in the rear). Like before, food and drink will be generously provided.
We have limited availability since we have a finite amount of food and drink. Register for the event here. If you can’t make it, no problem, you can cancel your order. We are limiting sign-up to 24 in-person attendees so sign up soon.
For best results, install GIT onto your computer and have a Github account configured. If you have troubles with this, we’ll allocate some time at the beginning to getting you going.
