Feb. 8th Dojo: Python/Django Unchained
Over the next few months we’ll be focusing on leaning new web frameworks with the hopes of gaining a deeper understanding of web development. First up is Django, the web framework for perfectionists (with deadlines). Django makes it easier to build web applications quickly and with less code. Django runs on Python, a powerful, fast, fun object oriented language. If you’re used to writing JavaScript, or Ruby you’ll feel right at home here. If this is all new to you, you’ll be in good company.
Our objective, along with most Web Geeks Dojos, is to build a simple functioning application with unfamiliar technologies in a VERY small amount of time. To be the most productive you may want to install Python, and Pip (https://hackercodex.com/guide/python-development-environment-on-mac-osx/) and Django first. However, we will go over this during the Dojo.
Come join us as we unchain Django and create a sample application. We’ll meet at the downtown Legends American Grill on Monday, February 8 at 6:30pm. If you’ll join us, we’d love for you to RSVP on Facebook.
