Build a Game Engine with Elixir
Elixir is a dynamic, functional language leveraging the Erlang VM designed for building scalable and maintainable applications. At our next evening event, Toran Billups will guide us through a hands-on Elixir workshop. This great introduction to functional programming will involve building a game engine for a simple match card game.
Feel free to bring a laptop so you can participate! Get a head start by installing Docker (especially if you have a Windows machine) and cloning the workshop repo: https://github.com/toranb/elixir-workshop
Andrew Schutt will also present a lightning talk that highlights some Elixir use cases like Phoenix LiveView, Nerves & IoT, Lumen (web assembly), and more.
Join us on Monday, November 11th at 6:30pm at Pillar Technology. Please RSVP ahead of time so we have accurate counts for food and drink.
