Intro to Angular 2+

We’ll be talking about Angular in our next event. No not Angular, but Angular (formerly Angular 2 and what’s now known as Angular 4 soon to be Angular 5). If the name has gotten a bit confusing for you, as it has with all of us, you can read about the change this blog post from earlier this year.

Beyond the name discrepancies Angular is actually pretty solid. There have been a lot of changes including the encouraged use of TypeScript. To help us understand all of these new features we’ll explore the codebase with some incredibly knowledgable presenters, and walk through a code demo Web Geeks dojo style.

Please bring your laptops and and be prepared to dive into this old, but new JavaScript framework.

We will be meeting on Monday, July 10th at 6:30 pm at The Forge in Downtown Des Moines across from the sculpture garden. You’ll need your laptops, but we’ll help you get everything set up.
