In this presentation, Tegan will demonstrate how to create a project from scratch, giving you a firsthand look at how simple and intuitive the framework is to use. So whether you’re new to web development, an experienced developer, or anything in between, come join us as we get an introduction to Rails!
Ruby on Rails is a popular web development framework that allows you to build complex web apps with ease, in a fast yet maintainable way. Rails provides tools and conventions that can benefit teams of any size, from large companies to single individuals.
About the Speaker
Tegan Rauh is a Software Engineer at Code Climate with a passion for building robust and reliable web applications. Her love for well-architected code and writing tests to ensure deployments run smoothly, even on Fridays, is evident in her work. Tegan is particularly fond of using Ruby and JavaScript/TypeScript, and, despite what popular trends might say, has no intention of switching to other programming languages such as C# or Java. Her commitment to staying up to date with the latest technologies and techniques in web development has made her a valuable asset to the Code Climate team.
